Claymores can be found in 1-2 at the end of the underground passageway and costs 6k souls,kind of pricey if you're early on in the game,but I'm unsure of the drop rates for Blue Eye Knights,I've never found one personally. The Greatsword and Great Axe are very slow, and harder to use. They also have high stat requirements. The Claymore is nice because it has lower stat requirements, and Faith builds don't want to put too much into unnecessary stats. They were very similar to Zweihanders, which literally means two handed sword. The only difference was the wavy flame like shape of the blade, though it was mostly decorative. If you find yourself in a drawn out fight where both parties are doing minor damage it can be a saving grace. In a fight where you both do massive damage and a few hits will cause death for either, bring something upgraded on a damage specific path instead..
